(14) 2010 UAAP Cheerdance

Posted: 09/19/2010 in Cheezy updates

Last September 12, 2010 was the much awaited UAAP Cheerdance Competition held in Araneta Coliseum. We were lucky enough to grab tickets for this event. Thanks to the effort of my younger brother, Wilson as he was able to provide us all the 7 tickets including his.

UP got the title back followed by FEU, while UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe landed on the third spot. I didn’t expect much from SDT basing from their last year’s performance. But I was still excited to see my fellow Thomasians and friends as we cheer and paint the Araneta – Yellow! I believe that the Thomasian community rejoiced despite being 2nd runner-up, as we got back on the the first three slots again after we slipped in 2009.

About 23,443 crowd jampacked Araneta but the 2008 competition still holds the top record of 23,448.

See you again in 2011 as the University of Santo Tomas marks its 400 years of unending grace! 🙂

Another reason why I enjoyed watching this year’s competition is because it’s my first time to watch it with my Ching ching who wanted to wear red/maroon but was threatened with these lines from me:

“Don’t you ever dare to wear red/maroon” 🙂

Thus, he wore black, portraying to be a bouncer! lol! peace! 🙂 But still, with a red cap. Thanks Ching ching for supporting my school, just in case you did. haha! But joining us last Sunday was truly enough.

*Hugs*

Again, congratulations to the UST Salinggawi Dance Troupe! Cheers!

Afterwhich, we headed to Buffalo’s Wings n’ Things in G-Strip, Greenhills for our dinner celebration.

We also strolled around GH and were amazed with the antique and native things we saw as well as the toys around. We also had ice scramble for dessert! Yumm!
